# the free tier renews on the first call you make in a new month, and whatever you did not spend stays in the wallet — credits never expire. every call has an exact dollar price, you only pay for calls that succeed, and there's never a surprise invoice.

what a call actually returns
prices are easy to compare and payloads are not, so here is what is inside each one.
brand curl
GET /v1/brands/{domain}
logos by type, theme and variant, each carrying its evidence chain — the reasons that file was judged the brand's mark — plus a confidence score
every logo format with its real dimensions, byte size, mime type, background, and a sha-256 of the bytes we verified
colours with a role (primary, accent, background, text), a human colour name, brightness, and the nearest pantone match with its delta
generated 50–950 scales off each base colour, so a design system drops straight in
fonts as name, type (title, body, mono), origin (google, custom, system) and the weights actually in use
screenshots and identity imagery, company metadata, and social links
a deterministic quality score in 0–1, plus the acquisition source (static or rendered) and the extraction timestamp
brand context
GET /v1/contexts/{domain}
the stored component documents — brand, company, events, signals, language — projected through one versioned, named projection
a quality block that keeps a missing optional component explicit rather than quietly absent
a freshness block that says when each component was last rebuilt, so stale parts stay visible
the read never extracts and never calls a provider; that is why it is a cent and a rebuild is not
deep research
POST /v1/research/{domain}
a dossier of material facts — founded, headquarters, funding, industry, competitors, key people, recent news — each with a citation
every checkable claim is curled again from the citation it names, and judged; a verdict counts only when the judge quotes the page verbatim
a claim that is contradicted, or cannot be found in the page it cites, is removed from the result rather than shipped, and the removal is counted
a verification block reporting status, claims, supported, contradicted, notFound, and dropped
interpretive fields — summary, positioning, voice — are model-written and never checked; the endpoint wears its experimental label for that reason
top up $5–$500, face value. pick a preset or enter an exact amount; stripe opens only after you confirm.

talk to sales
# their numbers read from brandfetch.com/developers/pricing on 2026-08-23, where the free tier lists brand fetches as “100 — one-time” and the plan comparison repeats “100 (one-time)”. their logo docs ask you to embed the link rather than store the file, and point you at a custom setup if you need local copies; their brand-search terms ask you not to cache. we quote their published figures and nothing we cannot point at.
faq
when does the wallet debit?
the wallet debits only when a call succeeds (a 2xx response). errors, rate limits, and replayed jobs are never charged, and checking job status is always free.
how do i add balance?
use a $5–$500 top-up above. it is a one-time stripe checkout payment at face value, and the wallet balance never expires in v1.
what is a refill?
a refill is a subscription deposit: $29 adds $32, $99 adds $115, and $399 adds $500 to the wallet each month. it stacks on top of the free monthly grant. cancel anytime; the remaining balance stays spendable.
do i need a card to start?
no. every account gets $5.00 of wallet credit, and it renews each month — the grant lands on the first call you make in a new utc month, so an account that goes quiet for a while comes back to one grant rather than a backdated pile of them.
what happens to credit i don't spend?
it stays in the wallet. free grants, top-ups and refill deposits are the same credit and none of it expires, so a light month funds a heavy one.
why is a refresh thirty times a read?
a read answers from a profile that is already extracted and stored — it costs us a lookup. a refresh curls the site, renders it, pulls and measures the assets, and writes a new profile. the price follows the work, and it is fixed to the route so you can price a call before you send it.
will i get a surprise invoice?
no. everything is paid up front: calls simply stop when the wallet cannot cover the posted price. nothing is ever billed after the fact (no arrears), and there is no extra invoice at the end of the month.
what about self-hosting?
$30,000/year by contract: your infrastructure, your keys, and your data stays inside.
the free grant and hosted refills are monthly. top-ups are one-time wallet deposits. credits do not expire. self-host is sold by contract.
